SMART fraudulento, tener cuidado
La información SMART está falseada. Parece haber tenido muchos mas bloques dañados de lo indicado, al pasar un poco de 8tb inmediatamente falló a pesar de no mostrar señales de falla antes de eso, incluso al correr diagnosticos superficiales. Si lo compras, corre un diagnostico profundo inmediatamente, probablemente habrán muchísimos bloques reasignados, devuelvelo inmediatamente porque Amazon no se hará cargo una vez que falle.
Used to finish my Plex raid set-up.
This drive is used for my Plex raid set-up. I am waiting till now to post a review to ensure stability. The Western Digital 14tb drive has been great. Being used was a concern but the read/write speeds were good and its durability has been great. Have not had any bad sectors or failures at all.
Is there an actual 2 year warranty or not? Customer service says no...
Failed after 10 months. I tried to get Amazon to honor the stated 2 year warranty and spent hours with customer service trying to get them to understand that I know it is past the 30 day return window. I'm not an idiot. I know I can't return it. What I want is for Amazon to honor its claim of a 2 year warranty. It turns out that after contacting Western Digital and Worldwide Product Importer (which was a nightmare itself), both declined any responsibility for the drive warranty and referred me back to Amazon. They both said that the warranty claim is Amazon's responsibility. But, when trying to get Amazon customer service to focus on the warranty and honoring that no one seemed to know anything about it. At one point I was plainly told that the warranty is not issued by Amazon. Which is not what the product page indicates (see the attached screenshots from the product page). Finally they agreed to refund the purchase price. I'm not happy with that because they said multiple times they were "making an exception" for me. That should not be the case. If Amazon is going to make a warranty statement like this - "Backed by a 2-year warranty and covered under Amazon Renewed Guarantee". And like this - "... the product is sold as an Amazon Renewed product on Amazon. If not satisfied with the purchase, renewed products are eligible for replacement or refund under the Amazon Renewed Guarantee." their customer service agents need to honor that warranty or stop advertising the warranty.

Excellent storage deal (used to be)
Purchased three years ago - works like champ. It used to be greatest deal for large data storage. Sadly prices are much higher now. Hopefully this will last long enough to fulfill my needs until either SSD or HDDs prices return to affordable levels.
