Haters will hate but this way better than the competition

I own a lot of handhelds. I mean a lot. I have odins, (had a AYN thor and still own a rg ds) The onexsugar is not as sleek as other ds models but I can promise it's much nicer to hold and game on due to grip. It's also a gen 3 making it better performance over the other two. Specially if running steam games. It takes time to setup like any other models. Your going to spend time making this a dream machine but well worth it. I keep mine in a small switch light case for travel. It also has way nicer thumbsticks over the other models I've had. I've owned this for months now and my Thor hinge broke after a couple months but my sugar with way more hinges is still going strong. It's expensive but so is buying a Odin 3 right now. If you can afford the price tag this system is in its own league. They are developing so many drivers for gen 3 processors due to steam. This system will be peak soon. The dual fan system keeps this thing running at high performance when doing heavy lifting. Battery life is way better than expected as well. Screen is bright and crisp. You will find a ton of odd reviews on this thing that just don't bring it justice. Everyone talks about how the design isn't sleek like others but then buy some ugly grip for their setup because it sucks to hold and game on other competition. The sugar after months of owning is a fantastic rig. I regret nothing buying one.

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING!!

I’m gonna try and keep this honest The onexsugar is absolutely an enthusiast device. It is definitely not for casual users. I love Android and I love playing Android games, I play them more than I play my AAA pc games. I had been looking to get a dual screen Android device for a while now and i decided on this one because of its uniqueness. A transforming dual screen device that could allow me to play all my games on one device. A dual screen when I want it and a single screen when I need it. But after I used it for just a few hours all of this devices compromises became very apparent. For an Android handheld that is $650+ you don’t really get your moneys worth. The value for money just isn’t there. And it is obvious that the main factor of the price point is the design itself. So the screens are only 60hz but you don’t notice it much because the screens are absolutely beautiful. The build quality is very nice and feels very premium but does not feel like it will last years. The onexsugar was designed with DS/3DS emulation first and everything else second. All you need to do is install Citra MMJ for 3DS and MelonDS for DS and both emulators just work without any work arounds, but if your goal is just to play DS/3DS games then this handheld is not the best option. You can get a used 2DS for cheap on eBay. For playing Android games the sugar 1 is a mixed bag. For starters it’s running Android 14 which is ok but it’s a 64bit only build with no support for 32bit apps/games, so any 32bit (legacy) games you may have through Google or sideload will NOT be able to be installed on this device. So keep that in mind if you’re looking to buy this. You will also have to be in single screen mode before you launch most Android games because the controls are seen as a keyboard in dual screen mode and the screen will rotate forcing you to rotate the device upside down when you launch most Android games in dual screen mode. Fun and unique

It's a really fun design and awesome for Android games also with gamehub you can play gta 5 legacy steam ver at 30 fps and other light titles work from steam as well but also a lot of steam titles won't work in the end it's a fun unique device I'm glad to own one

I really wanted to like this but

I couldn't. Stick drift issues abound. Calibrating the controllers in any type of format the system is in is a nightmare and barely functional. Screens are beautiful but for the price they should have a higher refresh. It's a very well-built system and a lot of thought was put into it, but it's a headache and I wasn't able to get one game working normally no matter what I did with the controllers, including a total factory reset and downloading drivers.

I wanted to love it, but there's some serious flaws.

As much as I'd love to recommend this, I sadly cannot. To preface, I own several handhelds, including Retroid, Ayn Odin/Thors, etc. So I'm always looking for innovations. When I saw how many screen options you could have with this funky design, I was super interested. Let's go over the good parts. Pros: The screen is great, it's a 60hz OLED screen that has great brightness options and looks great. No ghosting or any weird issues. Some people don't like that it's not 120hz, but I don't personally see the need. The performance is incredible. It was able to run anything I threw at it. The 16GB of ram gave it a futureproof boost too. It's probably one of the most powerful devices out there right now. The buttons were surprisingly great. I really liked the way buttons clicked (outside of the Dpad, more on that later...) the analog sticks felt great and we're just the right height for me. The cons that stop me from recommending the device: The multiple screens is great, I can run YouTube videos and play a game on the other screen, or I can play dual screen games. However, the control you have of the little screen is surprisingly bad. There's a pill bar when you use gestures on the bottom screen that you cannot get rid of. There's just no option. The app used to control the screen is very buggy as well. The Dpad magnet is horrible. It feels great out of the box, but it's noticibly bulky and it's annoying to have to move it when changing modes. Not only that, but the magnet is my Dpad was starting to weaken. It felt noticibly more slippy, meaning that it's likely not going to stay magnetized for long. The battery life was not great. Playing heavier games, I really didn't get much time at all. Driving two screens and playing heavier games just kills it in 2-3 hours. It felt pretty poor compared to other devices out there. Lastly, the price. It's noticibly more expensive than the other dual screen handhelds out there. I just can't recommend paying 100-200 dollars more for thi
