A Simple Display Box, But Not Built for Speed
I picked up this mini PC stick mainly because I needed a cheap way to power a touchscreen monitor and run a web-based dashboard. The setup was pretty straightforward, and once it was plugged in, the 4K display output looked sharp on my screen. For its size, it’s got all the basic connections you’d expect—WiFi, Bluetooth, and an Ethernet port. If you just need a small box to plug into a screen and keep a few browser tabs open, it does exactly what it’s supposed to on paper. The downside is how slow it feels once you actually use it. The processor and 4GB of RAM struggle with anything beyond light browsing, so switching between apps or loading a dashboard takes noticeably longer than it should. My biggest concern is the heat. Since it doesn’t have a fan, it gets pretty warm during normal use, and I’m honestly worried about how long the inside parts will last with that kind of constant warmth. It’s not a dealbreaker for occasional use, but if you leave it running all day, I’d pick a spot with good airflow or expect to replace it sooner rather than later. Overall, I’d call it a niche gadget rather than a real desktop replacement. It’s fine for digital signage, a light office task, or keeping a single dashboard visible on a touchscreen. Just don’t expect it to handle heavy multitasking or fast performance. If you know exactly what you’re using it for and can live with a slower system that runs warm, it’s an affordable option. If you want speed or plan to push it hard, you might want to spend a little more on something with a fan or better cooling.
