Easy assembly. Smaller than expected Solid connection. Good speed. About 500 mb/s
Drive is good, ring not so much.

This review is for the MAIWO Magnetic NVMe Enclosure for 2230/2242 SSD. I had a 2242 NVME SSD 256GB that was not been used so I ordered this enclosure to be able to use the SSD to store pictures on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. I just came back from a trip to Hawaii where I took over 1100 pictures on the iPhone, all stored in this SSD thanks to this very practical enclosure. - The Product - The metal enclosure is well built and guarantees heat dissipation from the SSD. It comes well protected in the box with several items like a small screwdriver, thermal paste and steel plate for heat dissipation of the SSD. Very easy to install and if you don’t know how to do it, the instructions provided are clear - although nowadays the typo is very small and I had to use the phone’s camera to zoom into it but your eyes may be better than mine. It comes with an o-ring disk that you can stick to any phone cover that doesn’t have MagSafe ring on it so you can attach it magnetically to the phone and also a string and cable holder that you can attach to the enclosure if you don’t mind having the cable holder hanging from the enclosure (I do so I don’t use this feature. You can see it in the pictures). The magnet to keep it attached to the phone is strong. - Functional - The length of the cable is just right and the enclosure’s size is just as right. It has a strong blue LED when connected to the iPhone and it was recognized by it after formatting the SSD on my MacBook Pro. I transferred 1,178 pictures I had stored in it to my wife’s iPhone 17 Pro in less than 30 seconds. I don’t have a way to test if it holds the claim of 10gbps but for my purposes it was fast - faster than expected. I did notice that the case gets hot very quickly, which tells me it’s dissipating the heat although I don’t know if this hot is the norm of a drive of this kind. This was the only thing I disliked about it but probably it’s not a manufacturing fault, rather my ignorance in understanding how these work. My only
