Good value 5K monitor.
Seems like a good value, and as someone else pointed out, it takes a fair amount of time, I think they said 6 seconds to come out of sleep mode, which is a little annoying. I've bought other and lesser KTC brand monitors on behalf of clients and they have been happy with them. This is supplanting a 24" 4K monitor. I do a lot of remote access with other clients using 5K monitors, so having only 4K was a compromise. Not a complaint about the monitor as such, but as a warning to others, now that my computer has to push around more pixels every 60th of a second, I can see it's slower, so clearly I will need a faster machine in the future. was 6K total and now 9K. I had expected as such, but I expect my next computer to be twice as fast if not 4x.

Cheap but not worth the cons.
I’m in the market for a pair of 5k 27” monitors. Given the price on these, I thought I’d try them, and I really wanted to like them. I was willing to make some concessions going in. I was not expecting Apple Studio Displays. If I’m being honest that’s what I really want but the apple tax on those is just too ridiculous for me, plus buying two of them means paying for redundant hardware with two cameras, two sets of speakers, 2 A19 chips…out of the question. So looking at the third party market, there’s not a lot out there. I came across these and was intrigued but skeptical. Unknown brand (to me anyway), super low price relative to other 5k options. Too good to be true? Well in this case I believe yes. I’ll start with the pro: it’s very sharp. No doubt the resolution is great. That’s where it ends for me. The main cons: colors are super saturated and strange looking, and no amount of tweaking settings could get them to a decent spot. It just looks weird. Skin tones especially. Backlight uniformity was not good, and the IPS glow was really, really bad. Sitting directly in front of the monitor and putting up pure black content, the corners, top and sides edges are glowing and appear a mid grey tone. As you move your head around it sort of shifts, and it’s really distracting, for me at least. There was literally no angle where it looked good to me. And lastly, the absolute deal breaker for me is the quality issues. Dead pixels, many of them. The pixels on this display are very small, so they’re not super obvious while viewing content… but if you put up something pure white like a word doc, you will see them. Worse than that though was the clearly visible debris and dust embedded under the panel. What? No. Ultimately I just can’t recommend this monitor. It’s not good and probably not worth your time unless you’re willing to live with the things I mentioned above. I returned mine and am back to shopping.

Good, inexpensive 5K (217 PPI) monitor, great solution for MAC computers
This is a great value for a 5K monitor. The 5K resolution (217 pixels per inch) scales well with the native display output from MAC computers. The 27-inch size is large, without being overwhelming. The I/O is fairly robust with HDMI 2.0 (3840x2160), DisplayPort 1.4 (5120x2880 or 2560x1440), USB-C (Power Delivery of 65 W, and DisplayPort video 5120x2880 or 2560x1440), 2x USB 3.0 downstream ports, and a headphone jack. The monitor features 135% sRGB color gamut area, 100% sRGB color gamut coverage, 500cd/㎡ brightness, 2000:1 contrast ratio, 1.07 billion colors, and HDR400. Blue Light Reduction reduces eye fatigue, irritation, and strain.

Solid unit, slow to wake, matte screen ( for those used to glossy Apple products )
Only had this active for a bit over a week but so far it's quite impressive for the $. I used the stand for only 1.5 days, it is more sturdy than I expected based on other reviews. However as soon as I had time I setup a monitor arm for it so it would be at the same height as my other 27" screens -- which are both iMacs, one 2019 iMac and one 2015 iMac used as a display by replacing the insides with a display driver board. This display is 'matte' so it is hard to compare the overall brightness, but it gets plenty bright. I keep the office only moderately lit, but now I notice the reflections on the iMac screens a lot more. Build quality is not Apple level but is better than many no-name and lower end name brand things. Bezel is pretty small, but hardly 'edge to egde', about 5mm. Controls and menus are 'reasonable', but can control basics from Mac via Ddc using an App like MonitorControl or BetterDisplay. Biggest negative for me is the time to wake from sleep, it's a solid 9 seconds. The 'real' iMac is 2 or less. The modified iMac display is around 6. I've tried via all inputs, USB-C and HDMI with a MacMini and DP with an NV Orin Nano, same times.

5K with underwhelming mac and windows performance. Fuzzy at 2k 120htz at mac native scaling levels
Had high hopes based on the specs, but returned based on my 2k experience. First off, if you are a mac user, DO NOT EXPECT THE PANEL TO LOOK ANYWHERE REMOTELY CLOSE TO AN APPLE STUDIO MONITOR. The are 2 completely different animals. Build Quantity: 8 out of 10 Including everything you need:10 out of 10 Packing: 10 out of 10 Time to wake: 6 out of 10 Ports: 10 out of 10 Price: 10 out of 10 (for a new dual mode 5k panel) Panel feedback: Color accuracy: leans warm out of the box, correctable with a few user mode color adjustments. Colors are more natural. Do not buy if you are looking for colors that pop or are oversaturated. 5k mode / 60htz: razer sharp text, but with Mac scaling, you can't run at 5k effectively even with software tweaks from products like displaybuddy. Text is too small forcing you into 1080p or 1440p. 2k mode: you gain 120htz which is smooth, but all text is fuzzy. I tried rebooting, different ports, different cables, adjustments with software, all no-gos. Its "OK" at 60htz but " great" at 60htz can be had at half the cost. WINDOWS 11: more adjustments for text size, etc, so you can hit tge higher resolutions. The main issue here is you can't really tell that this 5K panel is besting a lower cost 4k panel. Great attempt from KTC and if this was priced under $350 it would be more in line with the overall panel experience.
