Incredible keyboard, feels amazing to type on and the OSA keycaps are better for accurate typing for me than cherry style. I purchased the shine through keycaps from Keychron directly to pair with it and it looks great. For an all aluminum keyboard with TMR switches it is worth the money. Best typing feel I've ever had. 10/10 recommend.
Elite 8K Polling and HE Performance—You Deserve to Own This Gem!
I am coming back to write this review after putting this keyboard through its paces for a solid 40 days. First off, my desk is massive, so this 108-key full-size layout only takes up about a third of my setup, fitting perfectly. The acoustics on this thing are a massive win. I previously tested the Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro keyboard, and the noise was so horribly loud and clicky that it completely ruined my focus during work and gaming. The sound profile on this Keychron Q6 HE, however, is satisfying beyond words—it is a night and day difference. Performance-wise, it is an absolute weapon. The magnetic switches combined with the 8000Hz polling rate give me instantaneous input response, while the multimedia keys have made toggling between work and gaming so much simpler. From my point of view, this keyboard is absolutely invincible in competitive gaming. As a player who heavily values rapid inputs in fighting games like Street Fighter 6, the precision and instant reset of these HE switches are a total game-changer. Furthermore, this keyboard is an absolute cheat code for tactical FPS titles like CS2. Thanks to the ultra-precise Rapid Trigger (adjustable actuation and instant reset), the counter-strafing is flawless. The moment you lift your finger, the movement registration cuts off immediately with zero initial delay, allowing you to stop on a dime, reset your crosshair, and secure the headshot before the enemy can even react. The physical response is so fast it truly feels like a "post-emptive strike." Visually, the RGB lighting is exactly what I prefer—subtle, deep, and low-profile. If you prefer flashy, blinding RGB showpieces, this might not be for you. As for the weight, I completely disagree that it is a drawback; instead, the hefty solid CNC aluminum chassis adds a premium, rock-solid sense of stability to the desk. THE keyboard
I have tried it for a week, and it's wonderful. Smooth keys, extremely sensitivie, but fully customisable: you can set the input point, you can remap every key, you can also set to values on a keys: one if you reach a threshold, and one if you reach the second one. But be careful if you plan to carry it around: it weights more than 2kg (4lbs). It's a big plus for me, it renders it extremely stable, but maybe someone wants something more mobile.
Great new switch, new experience, and fast response...
I tried many kind of keyboards for years, from IBM M mechanic keyboard, to Cherry mechanical keyboard switches blue, red, black, brown... They are all great keyboards. However, typing on this Keychron Magnetic Switch Keyboard is a new great experience with confidence. The aluminum keyboard is heavy, sits stable on the desk. The response of keys is fast. I like the knob that allows me to adjust the music volume easily. The backlight of keys is helpful. Another great feature is the Keychron Launcher web configurator app which doesn't need to install, just connect and do the configuration. This is better than other keyboard apps which need to install, and run every time when Windows run. This is one of the best keyboard so far.
Really REALLY good
This is by far the heaviest keyboard I have ever owned; I have owned over 5 different keyboards around this price range and style and TLDR this is the best full-size keyboard so far. +Sturdy build, insane quality. +easy to install and use, easy bios update on the website, +Keys feels super nice and responsive, 100% a improvement from traditional Mechanical. -Light does not shine on the keys itself only backlight behind the keys, harder to see if the room is dark, -does not come with a wrist rest, like other big companies, but they do sell it separately. and without it it does not feel to good. *personally. In my case the heavy keyboard is a good thing. but for some people this might be a problem, I currently have this keyboard over my mousepad and its like a paper weight, the keyboard itself it feels super well built, definitely worth its price on build quality. The backlight might cause some issues for people, it does not light up the keys itself, so for people who might need to look at their keyboard to type it might be a little rough. for me its whatever tiniest of complaint. Connecting this keyboard was super easy, it was legit plug and play. I was so sick of having to install random programs to use things these days. so having a online website that downloads the custom profiles onboard the keyboard was a breath of fresh air.
