Super Quality, Worth It
I couldn't have asked for better. I have gone thru so many cheap keyboards, which seem to conk out for no reason, that I realised I was probably going to spend as much as a good, expensive keyboard on the series of cheap crap. Dove in, and I am so happy I did. The quality is extremely high, very comfortable typing, smooth as butter keys, but still with that satisfying clack to let you know buttons have been pressed. The wood trim gives this keyboard a beautiful aesthetic rarely found in most high-end keyboards, which mostly cater to gamers. I've had this for a long while now, and its seen heavy use, both for some gaming, but lots and lots and lots of typing. The only hint of wear is a small patch on the spacebar. By this point, cheaper boards I'd been using would have no letters left. It also comes with alternate keys, to switch out to UK standard keys. It comes with the key puller to help too. The one downside is the lighting. It's there, but it's not very bright. I really wanted to use block white light to help illuminate the board, but its so dim it may as well be absent. However, given the rest of my experience has been so good, I can't knock a star off just for the lighting being a bit dim. In the end, if you type a lot and keep needing replacement boards, this is worth the investment, in my opinion.

Genuinely one of the best keyboards I have.
I couldn’t be happier with the Keychron K2 HE Custom Keyboard. Right out of the box, the build quality feels premium and solid, with just the right amount of weight to keep it firmly planted on the desk. The compact layout is ideal for saving space without feeling cramped. The real star of the show is the sound and typing feel. The Hall Effect switches combined with the gasket-mounted design produce a beautifully deep, thocky sound profile that’s smooth, rich, and incredibly satisfying. Every keystroke feels cushioned and consistent, with none of the harsh clack you get from cheaper keyboards. It genuinely sounds like a fully modded board straight out of the box. Probably better than my Keychron K6 and GMMK Pro Keyboards for typing satisfaction. Typing is buttery smooth, and gaming feels extremely responsive. I’m still experimenting with the customisable key pressure and actuation points, which is a fantastic feature — being able to fine-tune how sensitive each key feels is something I didn’t realise I needed until now. The flexibility it offers is brilliant for switching between typing and gaming. Overall, this keyboard delivers a premium experience with modern features, excellent customisation, and an addictive thocky sound. If you’re looking for a high-quality keyboard that feels and sounds amazing without additional mods, this is an easy recommendation.

A touch of class
Very solidly built Keyboard. The main chassis is aluminium with beautiful wood ends. This thing is solid! Which shows the quality. Its not a budget keyboard but its also much cheaper than many with this kind of quality. The switches are hall effect with selectable trigger points for activation/deactivation of the key press. But the real point, at least for me is the sound. Its not clicky, its not loud but its thocky with a lovely creamy noise thats hard to explain except to say it sounds like luxury. I would definately recommend it, especially to anyone who is pairing it to one of the modern wood fronted PCs like the Lian Li A3 or similar as it adds a classy touch instead of the normal standard of garish ammounts of RGB everywhere. This is not that kind of keyboard, and its all the better for it.

One of the best of it's kind
This custom keyboard is truly custom and it deliver everything promised. The plus points - It doesn't need a software on the system to be customised, just access to the web launcher. - this version (Special Edition) gives the possibility to customise the element of the shell too; you don't like the wood side panel? 3d print new ones or CNC or handcraft them. Keychron gives the CAD file of all the assembly. You can also customise the bottom and top frame because once the sides are off they slide out. - hall effects key are a game changer and apart from individually customisable actuation points they can be programmed through the launcher page for up to 4 command that gets individually activated at the specific pressure action (start press, desired depth down, desired depth release and full release) it's tricky but you'll get it. - if you are an octopus you can use the joypad mode: It emulates the real joypad but kyeboard-mouse player know that the versatility is pretty rubbish, keychron too, so they showcase it for you to modify it at your leisure and you can have the benefit of both controller and mouse. -3 different profiles (not enough) but 4 would be too many; I simply have one for gaming one for typing (different actuation setting). - they say 3 different connectivity technology but the cool thing is that on the fly you can switch between 4 or 5 devices (3x BT, 1x dongle, 1x wired) just changing the selector and the relative combination. The not so cool points -the software doesn't work on Firefox browser - some customisation don't have detailed info on how to use it that would be very beneficial and save some Google searches -RGB keyboard? Why not shine through key caps! Keychron you should have done it better there! At least the "caps lock" - other than caps lock there should be the possibility of the "activation colour" also for other switches as option (profile, connection device or when programmed a key as toggle switch). - updates happen and that's amazing

Solidly Built Premium Keyboard
Had my full sized Corsair K70 for well over a decade and wanted to upgrade to something acoustically softer and also with a smaller footprint. Did a lot of research and this Keychron K2 happened to be offer, so I took a gamble. I was not disappointed, the keyboard is solidly made, compact, rather weighty in a good way and aesthetically looks very professional, all in all it is an excellent quality keyboard and sounds great and not clacky like its predecessor. Why 4 stars and not 5: When my computer is on standby/sleep mode and the keyboard is used wirelessly, I find that it cannot wake my computer at all, I have to use the mouse to wake and then use the keyboard after. However, I have not look into the settings/configuration so this could potentically be rectified. The more prominent reason for the star reduction is the non-shine through keycaps; I don't see that much value in having the light features without shine through keycaps, but this could boil down to preference. So now I might have to consider purchasing a different set of keycaps, not ideal considering the cost of this keyboard.
