Great little thing
This little thing packs a lot of punch. The clarity is excellent. I got this for font editing because of the high DPI (331) and it delivers in that aspect very well. I also got it for photo editing and the high DPI is great for double checking the edit. If you set the scaling to 200% it's actually usable as a main screen for productivity apps like Photoshop. It's great for watching videos. At least in terms of picture quality- the speakers are not impressive but it has them if you need them. But the colors are amazing and I didn't even need to adjust the color profile, they were pretty accurate on factory settings. It works okay for gaming. There is some smearing/ghosting. The worst scenarios are when the scene has a lot of washed out grays, like in Dark Souls 3. You need to turn off motion blur in these games because the ghosting is already like motion blur. It was still playable but it was right on the threshold of what I would consider acceptable. I would definitely not play the whole game on this monitor. But in more bright games the smearing is hardly noticeable and the 13" screen is actually a great size for certain games like celeste and hollow knight. The form factor is nice. The magnets are strong enough that it doesn't slip. Construction feels solid. The kickstand keeps its angle and is sturdy. Overall I'm really impressed with this display for its price.

HDCP failures, bad ground for audio out, and abysmal HDR functionality
Fails HDCP 2.2 handshake now after just 9 months of light use, making this monitor completely useless with streaming devices. I was concerned the reliability would be a problem with a no-name branded monitor and was unfortunately correct. Additionally the 3.5mm audio out has bad ground noise, another unfortunate problem with the lower quality of this panel. Also don't trust the HDR feature stated for this monitor, the tone mapping is abysmal and you'll immediately turn it off once you see how poorly it functions and how dull it makes the picture.

frankly astonishing
I’m amazed by the quality of this display. Slightly higher than Apple “retina” grade. The color is great. There are a few gripes in these reviews saying that it looks weird on the Mac. The default resolution, for whatever reason, is the wrong one. To fix this… - go to System Settings - pick Displays - check on "Show all resolutions" - pick 1920 x 1200 You'll also see 3840 x 2400; that will tell the system to use pre-retina (2000-2012 era) UI, which will be half the correct size in both dimensions. Trust me, 1920 x 1200 is the sweet spot. There's an app called EasyRes which will make this a little easier. That said, this is much higher resolution than an Apple Macbook Pro 14" display (3024x1964, this is 3840x2400). Everything will be retina smooth, but on the small side. I like to use the external for creative work, and use the main display for reading and coding. What else… it’s very, very glossy. Sometimes I have to plug it in a couple times before the display realizes it's connected. Those are the sort of compromises you put up with for a bargain like this.

HDMI Works - USB-C Not
I could not get a video signal using USB-C. Tested with a DisplayPort to USB-C bidirectional cable. This cable works with another monitor I have. I suspect it does work because of the reviews. But the seller needs to provide details on the conditions. I also tried it with my iPhone SE and Motorola Android, got no signal, says this display. The HDMI works at 4K at full RGB (4:4:4) at 60Hz w/ 8bit color according to Windows 10. I like the rotary controls. It is quicker than the old push buttons. Rotate up gets you volume control. Rotate down gets you brightness control. Press and you get menu. The single button is to quit.

The only "Retina" quality portable monitor I found
If you're used to the MacBook's “Retina” display's, you know how your eyes are spoiled by sharp, crisp text. The problem is that many external monitors don't match the built-in monitor's pixel density and quality. Text is fuzzy and this drives me crazy if you spend hours staring at code. When I looked for a portable monitor to use on the road in hotel rooms, a Retina-quality display was all but impossible to find on Amazon until I came across this KEEPTIME 4K portable monitor. I'm super pleased with the picture quality. So much so that I use it even at home now, as a *third* external monitor. A few weeks ago, a third of the screen started flickering. It had gone bad. I contacted the company since it was still in the warranty period. They promptly sent me a replacement unit! It was truly hassle-free. I've been recommending this portable monitor to coworkers because it's 4K. The fact that the company also stands by their products makes me feel even better about my purchase.
