Futuristic Design, Solid Build, and Surprisingly Responsive for Everyday Use
I first became interested in GravaStar because their products always have such a futuristic and unique design. I’m not a gamer, but I’ve always liked gaming-style peripherals, especially the RGB lighting and visual effects. Their products definitely stand out from the typical keyboard and mouse setup. This probably isn’t going to be the kind of review gamers are looking for, since I’m not evaluating it from a competitive gaming perspective. But if you’re more like me and want something unique for a trading desk or productivity setup, the K98 Pro is a very interesting keyboard. What made the K98 Pro especially appealing to me is that this is GravaStar’s first full-size keyboard with a number pad. I do a lot of day trading, so having dedicated number keys is much more practical for me than a compact gaming keyboard. I also paired it with my Stream Deck, and together they make a very functional trading setup while still keeping that futuristic look. The first thing you notice when taking this keyboard out of the box is the weight. It is heavy, and the materials feel very solid. At this price, I would expect premium construction, and it does feel like a substantial piece of hardware rather than a lightweight plastic keyboard. What surprised me the most, though, was the typing experience. I have used other GravaStar keyboards, including the K1 Lite, and I never noticed this kind of difference before. The keys on the K98 Pro feel extremely light, smooth, and responsive. It takes very little pressure for a keystroke to register, and when typing quickly, the keyboard feels like it keeps up with my fingers immediately. I’m currently using it over Bluetooth and can still clearly notice how responsive it feels. The sound is also very different from the traditional mechanical keyboard “typewriter” sound. Absolute quality and awesome to use (USA layout though...)
I was absolutely made up to be able to order this GravaStar mechanical keyboard. One had previously caught my eye on Amazon but, to be brutally honest, I baulked at the £250 price point. My current keyboard, a Logitech G815, is still going strong and has some very strong features, so head ruled heart. However, having been offered it as part of the Vine programme… Supplied beautifully packaged and presented, out of the box I started to understand where some of the £250 goes. This is one well designed and solid keyboard. It is reassuringly heavy, I absolutely love the exoskeleton and the overall look of the keyboard. Even before plugging it in (as I do not intend on using this wirelessly) this keyboard is incredibly tactile. Having plugged it in, it is as good to use as it is to look at. To the rear are two legs, or claws, that adjust the rake of the keyboard. There are only two positions, but I find them entirely usable. Underneath is where you will find the USB A dongle for wireless use. The underneath, a place no one ever looks at on a keyboard, is as well finished as the rest of it. The keys have more travel than the G815, I love the noise of them, although the noise is something to keep in mind if you share a space with others. They are nicely weighted and positive in action. It does need to be said that some of the keys are a bit busy with what has been printed on them. The RGB looks awesome, as does the small, customisable display to the right. I love that some of the keys are solid and some translucent. Next to the display is a selector, and I was very pleased to see that by default it is set to turn your system volume up and down. I am a lifelong gamer, but tend to stick with what I know. Currently I play WoW and Diablo 4, both of which ban the use of macros. I did play another game that was not so anti macro use, and this, for me, highlights where the G815 has the advantage, as it features dedicated function keys. This keyboard looks and feels like it belongs in a sci-fi gaming setup
This is easily one of the coolest mechanical keyboards I've used. The design is what immediately grabbed my attention—the exposed industrial-style frame, lighting, and little details around the edges make it look completely different from a standard gaming keyboard. It has a futuristic, almost spaceship-control-panel look without sacrificing the functionality of a full keyboard. The keys have a really satisfying smooth, creamy feel and sound. They aren't obnoxiously loud or overly clicky, but you still get that satisfying mechanical keyboard feedback when typing or gaming. The 98-key layout is also a huge win for me because you still get the number pad and nearly everything you'd expect from a full-size keyboard without it taking over the entire desk. The RGB looks AMAZING through the transparent-style keys and frame, especially in a darker room. The small TFT display and control knob are fun extras that make it feel even more premium. I also really appreciate having multiple connection options instead of being stuck using it one way. It feels substantial and well built, and it's one of those pieces of gaming equipment that people are going to notice as soon as they see your setup. Between the unique design, smooth switches, RGB, hot-swappable keys, display, and compact full-size layout, there's a lot packed into this keyboard. Definitely not your average boring black gaming keyboard. If you want something functional that also has a TON of personality, this absolutely delivers.

Absolutes Flaggschiff !!!
Ich war mit meiner Cherry Tastatur eigentlich sehr zufrieden, guter Anschlag, einzeln beleuchtbare Tasten und all der Kram, den man so zum Zocken braucht. Und dann kam Grava ... schwupps, neuer König auf dem Thron. Irgendwie machen sie alles noch etwas besser, fühlt sich das Tippen selbst beim schreiben dieser Rezension noch flüssiger an, weil mir der Widerstand etwas mehr entgegen kommt, als bei der Cherry. Dazu ist das Ding auch sauber verarbeitet, macht optisch auch einiges her und die Tatsache, dass es die QWERTY Version ist, stört mich gar nicht, denn die Tastenbelegung hängt letztlich von Windows und den Games ab. Die SciFi- Füße zum Anstellen spielen bei mir zwar keine Rolle, runden den optischen Eindruck aber zusätzlich ab. Technisch gibt es sowieso nichts auszusetzen, denn man kann die Tastatur halt per BT, WiFi und per Kabel nutzen, was ich bevorzuge, aber das muss jeder für sich entscheiden - der Akku würde jedenfalls bei mir eine gute Woche reichen. Die Tastenkappen lassen sich leicht und unproblematisch wechseln und für meine Zecke ist der Kompromiss aus Beleuchtung und Lesbarkeit der Beschriftung gut gelungen. Wer also beim Zocken auch mal das Numpad braucht, bekommt zur Zeit eigentlich nichts Besseres, auch nicht von Corsair ;-)
