The Picture is WOW!

When I first looked at my wallpaper image on the screen, all I could think was Wow! The image has a lot of pinpoints of light as stars which I never knew were sharp. Everything was bright vivid and clear. I had not seen such clarity on a screen since I briefly had an Apple Retinal Display. I sent that back because it would not work right with the scroll-zoom feature that we low vision users depend on. I got a MAC Mini instead, which gives me choices on displays. I intended to order the 30" and accidentally bought this one. It's not a bad size and I didn't return it for an exchange because the picture was so good I was afraid the larger one might not be as clear. This one does not have any internal program that allows you to tinker with the settings which the 30 inch does. On my MAC Mini, the only thing I can do is go into system preferences and adjust the gamma and also opt for the blue light reduction. Frankly, the picture is so good that I don't feel the need to to alter settings other than using the blue light feature. I opted to leave the blue light reduction on from 10 am to 10 am so that it is always on, because the screen is too bright for my extreme light sensitivity. I can always turn it off when I need to tweak the colors of an image, etc. What impresses me most about this screen is that the various tones in the darker shadows can be distinguished, whereas on my Viewsonic, they were all muddled together. The extreme range of tones on this screen is remarkable, especially given the price category. You can't beat the curved screens for low vision users, because when you sit closer to the screen, the sides are the same distance from your eyes as the middle. The 30 inch would have been better but this is definitely functional in that regard. I will never go back to a flat screen. Even though I do graphic design and being able to judge straight lines is critical, my brain has adjusted to the curvature. I don't even notice it anymore. I had no problem attaching

My first gaming quality monitor and it's amazing

Before, I've had cheaper generic flat monitors and it's serviceable. I bought a new pc, one that's designed to max out 1080p gaming and I was browsing for a monitor to match the quality, and this had very glowing reviews, well deserved. It's my first curved monitor, and it's definitely cool, and it does have the specs you would want in a gaming monitor, especially where capping at 1080p isn't a downside, like I have a 4K TV for my consoles and streaming box, but on the computer, the high end quality display feels like I don't need a higher resolution (plus I'd also need a pc twice as expensive if I did.) My only real gripes are mild. The stand it comes with is a bit flimsy, once you get it on there, it's solid enough, but move it around and it might start tipping down. As much as it's kind of a hassle with TV stands that have screws, at least those keep it attached. But if you have the wall space, you can buy a wall mount. The other thing was the DP cable it came with, I was having the occasional issue where when booting up the pc, something wasn't being recognized and I had no picture, unless I used a spare HDMI cable. I did buy a new DP cable, a really high end one, and it seems to have fixed the problem, I probably had a faulty one in the box. So nothing big to complain about. And for the price, it was on a flash sale when I got it, and I couldn't imagine a better gaming monitor for a modest price. Also, the HDR is nuts, I've never seen HDR where the black and white is so subtle, like you can go to the minimum and maximum, and it's so subtle over if you can see the logo on the black or the white. It really makes me want to buy Silent Hill 2 Remake on PC just for the HDR experience, even though I'll still be too creeped out to make progress in that game.

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

Habe mir den Monitor als kostengünstige Übergangslösung gekauft, weil mein original Apple Monitor am Mac Studio defekt war. Funktioniert gut, auch am Mac, ist einfach in Betrieb zu nehmen, Bildqualität mit Kontrast, Helligkeit etc. ist erstaunlich gut bei dem Preis und für einen normalen Anwender wie mich absolut ok. Die technischen Detailwerte interessieren mich in so einem Fall nicht, jedenfalls nicht solange ich alles klar und sauber sehe und meine Augen nicht schneller müde werden als mit einem anderen Monitor und das ist so. Ich kann mit diesem Monitor arbeiten und halte das für eine volltaugliche Lösung für jemanden der jeden Tag eine begrenzte Zeit am Computer sitzt. Möglicherweise merkt man den Unterschied, wenn man täglich 8 Stunden oder länger auf den Schirm schauen muss, das ist bei mir mit diesem Gerät nicht der Fall, also klare Kaufempfehlung.
