Great Monitor With Some Caveats

Really good monitor, I was surprised with just how much different oled is, the colors are insane they all pop out and aren't dull like my previous ips monitor. The 480hz also feels amazing in games that can reach that high fps. The smoothness it feels in Valorant and Overwatch is such a crazy feeling. That and with the really low latency this monitor is great for competitive games. However, the initial setup was a little tedious. To flash the latest firmware you have to have a USB drive and a USB to USB C connector, things I had to separately buy. But the flashing process itself is very easy and I had no issues. One big issue with the monitor is the banding when displayed gray. It's very noticeable and you can it in the picture. This only occurs when displayed gray all other colors are perfect. I have heard it does get better when done enough pixel cycles, but I have only used it for a day so not really sure it will. In gaming I don't notice it at all as it's rare for there to be a full grey screen for it to show. This is a common issue with 3rd gen WOLED monitors so it's not really dough's fault more so the panel manufacturer/technology. One more thing to add is the annoying quick command on the nipple button to move around the monitor menu. It has quick commands so if you accidentally press it up when you wanted to go to the menu, which is a middle click, you end up going to switching the input display to something else and blacking the screen until you switched it back. I ended up doing this a lot and didn't know why until I looked through all the settings. Luckily you can change these to something else so at least its fixable. I know dough/eve reputability isn't great, but separating the company from the product this monitor is really good and for the price of 499, on sale from 799, I would honestly recommend this monitor if you play e sports titles and also want good image quality for movies and shows.
