Great for Productivity, but Disappointing Colours
I have been using this monitor for a while as a replacement for my 27-inch 4K Dell monitor. The picture is sharp enough, but it is not as sharp as a true 4K monitor. The biggest advantage is the wide screen. You can easily place two windows next to each other, which is useful when reading websites or PDFs while programming. The build quality is good, and there are plenty of connections, including USB-C, HDMI and USB. There is also a useful small panel with USB-C and USB 3 ports that slides in and out from underneath the screen. The monitor also has two built-in speakers. The sound is okay, not great, but better than most laptop speakers. The monitor menu has many settings for colours, brightness and contrast. For the price, it is a good all-round monitor for everyday work and some gaming. So why am I only giving it two stars? My biggest problem is the colour quality. It is simply not good. White looks blue-white, red never looks truly red, and grey and black tones are not displayed properly. It feels like there is always a grey layer over the screen, making everything look dull and washed out. You can change many settings in the menu, but when one colour improves, another colour gets worse. Compared with my old Dell 4K monitor, this feels like a clear step backwards. If you often work with design or drawing software, or you want Netflix and YouTube videos to look colourful and well-balanced, do not buy this monitor. If you can spend a little more money, do yourself a favour and choose a more expensive model with a better display and better colour technology. You will thank me later.
