best monitor i've had
I’ve been using the BenQ ZOWIE XL2540X+ 24.1″ 280Hz monitor mainly for CS2 and Overwatch 2, and it’s an excellent choice for competitive shooters. The biggest advantage is the 280 Hz refresh rate and very fast response time, which makes motion extremely smooth and clear during fast gameplay. Tracking targets and flicking feels very responsive, which is exactly what you want in games like CS2 where reaction time matters. The Fast TN panel is designed specifically to reduce motion blur and make moving objects easier to see. At 1080p on a 24.1″ screen, the pixel density works well for esports titles. It’s easy to maintain high frame rates, which helps fully use the 280 Hz refresh rate. The monitor also includes Zowie features like Black eQualizer and Color Vibrance, which can help highlight enemies in darker areas of the map. The downside is typical of TN panels: colours and viewing angles aren’t as good as IPS monitors, and there’s no HDR support. So it’s clearly built for competitive gaming rather than media or colour accuracy. Overall, if your priority is competitive performance in games like CS2 or Overwatch, this is a fantastic monitor. The motion clarity and responsiveness are the main strengths, and that’s exactly what esports players care about. Summary: Excellent for CS2 / OW2 competitive play Extremely smooth 280 Hz performance Very low motion blur and fast response Colours are average (typical TN panel) ⭐ Great esports monitor if you value performance over visuals.
