Steller Mini-LED Monitor Choice

Excellent monitor! While I frequently read reviews and often steer away from an item with this many negative reviews, I am completely miffed by the negative reviews given to this exceptional monitor. I have several Asus monitors, this is my second 32 inch monitor by Asus, and certainly don't mind acknowledging one is far better than other. For those that have not lived OLD burn-in and are interested in an OLED, what I have to say is meaningless. Understanding the monitor settings and the color settings are a personal preference, IMHO, my monitor had a slight red push out of the box. Using the Nvidia control panel (I am using an Asus Strix 4090 OC video card that is water cooled), it was very easy to make color corrections to my preference. Gaming performance is an interesting equation (this is for the OLED fans), the brightness of the game-play is stellar, far beyond OLED capabilities, however, contrast is not nearly as compelling as an OLED. On this one, pick your poison, better contrast, and far less brightness or always being concerned about burn-in (no stress with mini-leds). As for build quality, typical higher-end monitor build for Asus, it's excellent. As for value for money, I bought this on sale. I can only say, I scored! Last point concerning Free Sync, it works absolutely flawlessly with G-sync. I have one monitor with G-Sync Ultimate and this monitor with Free-Sync absolutely no difference! IMHO G-Sync is simply a marketing ploy. Happy shopping

It's worse than expected.

I just have to mention a couple of his drawbacks: 1. there is a harsh current sound when you turn on HDR! 2. you can't control the backlight status when you turn on HDR, and the entire black part of the screen is completely grayed out 3. It's not worth the $1299 price tag, and the HDR effect is a bit overexposed. And after turning on HDR a lot of features can not be adjusted, the picture looks terrible. I'm connected to a PS5. 4. there is a very noticeable light leak in the lower left corner of the screen! 5. 1299$ monitor actually has no sound! All in all I will be returning it, I'm rather disappointed in this monitor

PG32UQXR Is A Beast

12-MONTH UPDATE: This monitor is still going and no issues. All pixels are working. HDR is amazing. Perhaps Windows 11 with HDR turned on is a bit too bright when there is a lot of white, but that's not a real issue. Still very happy I did not purchase OLED. I've been looking for a 4K monitor for a year to pair with my RTX 4080. While there are some great OLED monitors with warranties against burn-in I do too much productivity work (in addition to gaming) to take the chance on burn-in. Not many reviews on this monitor on-line. Took a chance and bought expecting issues (e.g. flickering, blooming) based on what others wrote about FALD monitors. Maybe I got lucky; perhaps, the technology just works, but this monitor is amazing. I have an OLED TV and this feel very close to that. Gaming is beautiful; Windows 11 in HDR works great. I don't have any experiences where the screen suddenly brightens or darkens. It all just WORKS. If you're considering a new 4K monitor and are remotely worried about OLED burn-in give this monitor a shot. Also, my screen has 0 stuck pixels. Again ... maybe lucky, maybe it's quality control at the factory. 5 Stars all around. So glad I got this ... 0 cares that it's not OLED.

Almost too bright

Very bright, sorta hurts my eyes! For programming it's really sharp, but need to turn on Windows HDR and set the slider to 20% to reduce eye strain. Had to get a lightbar and RGB speakers to combat the eye strain you get with this monitor. Wish there was an actual ROG lightbar to screw into the top hole; stuck with third-party clamp. The back RGB ROG logo isn't bright enough to do anything useful; looks cool even though I never see it. Watching HDR 4k content on YouTube with dynamic lighting enabled looks amazing. Looks the same as OLED. Minimal zone blooming and very dark blacks. No edge bleed. No light zone flickering.

Fantastic mini LED monitor for gaming and work...

Full disclosure, bought this on Prime Day for a pretty good price so that does affect my ratings. The monitor was incredibly well packed and the instructions to install were clear and easy. It came with a cable case, cables, welcome cards and instructions. It gave me a very premium vibe and it was appreciated. I run this at 144, at 4k resolutions on my Mac and windows PC's. It auto switches between them well. The display is big, colorful and clear. Zero dead pixels. Game play was fantastic, resolution incredible. This is my first mini LED and I am not disappointed in any way. You need to dial this monitor in so be prepared to use its menus and your PC's to get it right but your reward will be a good looking display. One nit pick... the LED logo display on the back stays on, even when the monitor sleeps. You choices are always on, always off or if you attach to your PC via USB, have the PC control it with armory crate software. I leave it off.....
