Amazing panel and coating - Problems with Firmware
The Asus XG32UQWMS is incredible, it packs a good amount of features and has an amazing panel with on par coatint. The TrueBlack Glossy is really something, blacks are really inky and the reflections are not as bad as I imagined, definitely managable/tolerable. The only two things bothering me is the ABL and the EOTF Curve with DisplayPort (with irs first firmware right now). Once you go above 70% brightness in HDR, there will be a noticable brightness step once ABL (Automatic Brightness Limiter) hits and that is really noticable. I personally can live with it, but I can see how this will make some people upset. Also the EOTF curve makes the picture really unnaturally dark when using DisplayPort and HDR with higher refresh rates than 120Hz. This is fixed by simply using HDMI 2.1, still annoying at first, but if you can‘t use HDMI, this is something they definitely need to fix first. Again, not an issue for me, it still is there.
