Quiet, High-Performance, Stylish Fans - Everything you expect from an ASUS ProArt product
Made some changes to my system and was looking for an upgrade to high-quality fans without ARGB, since the system will be mostly covered by a mesh panel. ProArt products typically have a great-looking aesthetic in black and gold and these PF120 fans are no different. The black color frame fits in with other ProArt themed builds, while gold accents around the fan hub provide a nice classy bit of color. These are also great fans for people looking for case fans with minimal branding to show off other parts of their builds. I purchased the three-pack and a couple single fans to try different configurations in the case. The packaging was sufficient to protect the fans and finish, but not excessive. Accessories include four screws to install to your case and a magnetic-attaching cable to the fan that terminates in a fan header. The three-pack includes an additional fan control cable that can be used to change the fan speed (3 speeds) by clicking a button. I didn't have a use for it because my motherboard controls the fans, but it could be useful for those who would rather rely on a simple toggle to switch between quiet and maximum performance. These are magnetic "daisy-chain" fans that help to minimize wires, so it's easy to add or remove an extra fan from your expected configuration by using the clips on the end of the fans. You pop out the "arms" of the clips at the far side of the fan, slide the new fan in or out, and then close the arm on the side of the new fan. The three-pack is fully-assembled when you open the box, so you only have to make changes if you need fewer fans or are connecting the single fans. No tools needed until you're ready to mount the fans to your case. I haven't used the fans long enough to go into great detail about the performance, but I can share some initial impressions.
