Acer Nitro XV273K Pbmiipphzx 27" UHD 3840 x 2160 IPS
Spectacular detail, colors, "speed". Best monitor I've ever spent time with. I made the jump to 4k a couple of years ago, and Windows wasn't particularly high DPI ready. but managed to deal with it. I most recently came from a 26" LG, this 27" is a beast, I have to keep it a bit further away during gaming sessions. Since I've only spent the weekend with it, I may decide on some alternate settings, but for now 4k, 120hz, HDR is the gaming route. As in any 4k environment you typically want to turn down all graphics settings that try and make lower resolutions look better, ie turn off anti-aliasing (AA). The jump to 120hz doesn't tax my gtx1080 & ryzen 7 any more than 4k@60hz. HDR: games that support it have mind blowing detail, and no discernible hit to GPU performance. Windows however (windows 10, 1903), is the village idiot at the gaming party. It is reminiscent of windows 95 and alt tabbing from a full screen game to a higher res desktop, long pause of blackness. Basically _any_ SDR element causes the entire display to switch between HDR and SDR, and it is a painful switch. Want to change your volume? that lovely stupid volume level on the top left that you can't get rid of in windows 10 is SDR...so the display will go black while windows shows you the volume level, then goes black again to go back to your game. If it wasn't so much better looking I would disable HDR, but it is, so I'm trying to deal with it. 144hz: You need two DP cables (and probably a vidcard that will support it) between vidcard and monitor. Then you need to get into the monitor OSD and find "144hz mode" and enable it. You do not get HDR mode in conjunction with 144hz mode, it is one or the other. I found my system unstable using 144hz mode. Sometimes it was just an innocuous cycling searching for input that a powercycle of the monitor would fix. Sometimes it was a system hang. The difference between 120hz and 144hz is negligible to my eyes, while the difference between 60hz and 120hz is of cou

Pretty Stunning 4K Value for 144Hz G-Sync & HDR
Maybe it's just the panel lottery, but this is one amazing monitor at half the price of other 4K 144Hz panels. Is it perfect? Well, close to it. Note, it seems like some reviews about the backlight bleed seem overstated, once you calibrate the IPS panel properly. With 2x Display Port 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 there are no shortage of video inputs + the USB 3.0 hub. Official G-Sync support is detected by Windows 10 and the nVidia driver, along with FreeSync too. I'm running the panel at 120Hz which frankly is perfect for 4K as most AAA games are not going to push 144 fps. Anyway, early days here with this addition to my PC setup. Zero dead pixels and the color calibration out of the box as tested and set at the factory are solid. Don't hesitate, if you are considering a 4K display with 120-144Hz and HDR.

Another Bleeder. UPDATE. Turn down the brightness!
I decided to completely re-write my review. Everyone who purchases this monitor, and is not a seasoned pro, should spend some time carefully reading the detailed TFT-Central review. It takes time to get to know this monitor. I am still getting to know it but I have learned a few things. Out of the box the brightness on mine was either 80 or 100 percent. This setting isn't necessary to get the most out of this monitor. At max brightness looking at this monitor is like looking at the sun, it could burn your eyes and give you a tan. No wonder there is back-light bleed! After spending some time reading the above mentioned review, I altered the settings similar to what they did. I dropped the brightness to 50% and that made the back-light bleed issue go away for the most part(the two pics are before and after). Truth is, I could crank down the brightness even further but I am all good now. I originally gave the monitor 2 stars and said I was would have to return it. I now give it 5 stars and will be keeping it. Fabulous ultra clear picture quality and serious eye candy in game or watching a 4k movie (I have a 4k player on my desktop). I am still trying to figure out the color space possibilities, response times, adaptive sync, etc., etc. It will take a while to get the monitor where I want it, or learn how I want to change the settings depending on what I am doing. The only potential minor cons for me, aside from a few plastic pieces, are: 1. OSD access. All monitor manufacturers should just go ahead and copy the LG method with the centrally located joystick. The LG joystick is completely intuitive, can be easily accessed and used in the dark with one hand, doesn't require you to hold the monitor still while using it even if the monitor is mounted on an arm. The buttons on the right rear of this Acer monitor are hard to pick out and the monitor moves around on the arm I have it mounted on unless I hold it still with my other hand. No fun! 2. Dual monitor quirks. This may

Excellent value for money
So I'll start this review by saying I did not expect this to be a 144Hz monitor. Every professional review and Amazon review talks about the hoops you have to jump through to reach 144Hz, and the compromises you make when you run it at 144Hz so just ignore the packaging and expect it to be 120Hz from the start. For some reason my 980Ti cannot drive this monitor at 120Hz in Windows or in games. It caps out at 95Hz. But I tried using my friend's 1070 card and it drove the monitor at 120Hz just fine, so clearly the problem is with my video card somehow. Just giving you a head's up that older graphics cards may not be good enough for this monitor, and it's not just a problem with low framerates in games, it literally can't detect 120Hz properly as an option in windows on my card. So I am going to just keep it at 95Hz now until I get a new video card. The picture quality is fantastic most of the time. When you set the color profile to neutral the whites are nice and quite neutral. The colors are vivid and pop. My old monitor was an Asus PG27AQ and this monitor has MUCH better color accuracy and a wider color range. Especially the reds. The reds look great! The monitor is BRIGHT. Ridiculously bright. Painfully bright out of the box. No wonder so many people are complaining about backlight bleeding. Turn down the brightness if you are using this monitor in the dark you dummies! I turned the brightness down to 50 and it still hurts my eyes at times, and I am not having any backlight bleeding problems. My monitor arrived with 0 dead pixels. I am subtracting 1 star because on the far left and far right sides of the monitor there is noticeable brightness falloff. On white webpages it looks like vignetting in a photo. It's noticeable and annoying. This is the only issue I have with the monitor's picture quality. There is no cooling fan on this monitor at all, which is the main reason I bought it versus the higher end options out there. Fans in monitors is a terrible idea. There
