So far so good No complaints
Excellent quality and excellent value
These laptops are incredible value for money. I have bought four for business use, so I won't be able to comment on how this performs for gaming. The display is very good. It's not an IPS, but it is bright, sharp, and colourful. I haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life yet, but I will be mostly using it plugged in. The build quality is a lot higher than the price would suggest. The hinge is solid and reassuringly stiff. Speed wise it is no slouch. We have had laptops of a similar spec from big name manufacturers and, honestly, this is every bit as good, if not better than some. With that said, I think calling this a "gaming laptop" might be stretching it a bit. I have no doubt that you can play games on them, but probably not sufficiently well to be pleasing. As I said, I'm using these for business and so far they are proving to be more than capable. I do have a couple of caveats though. I maybe missed it in the laptop description, but these come with an American keyboard. A silicone keyboard overlay is provided for the UK and I'd have to say I actually enjoy typing on it. It also means that the keyboard is protected from any accidental coffee spills! We are really using these laptops as desktop computers and they will be used with wireless keyboards and mice. For us the keyboard on the laptop will rarely be used, but even with the caveats it is still a good keyboard if you need to use it. I also have a couple of minor niggles about the keyboard layout. The return key is smaller than I am used to, although this is common on other brands, and it is not a deal breaker. There's also no dedicated backslash key, again not a deal breaker, but it takes a little getting used to when you need to use it. It is on the 'Z' key and is accessed by pressing the 'Fn' key at the same time, which is just below the 'Z' key. The laptop is very well served with USB ports (3 x USB 3.0 and 1 x USB C). It would have been nice to have 2 x USB C ports, and lose one of the USB
Solid laptop with sleek design
This laptop feels solid and well-built, with a sleek metal cover giving a premium look. Setup was straightforward and quick, and it runs quietly with everyday use. With 512GB of internal storage, there is plenty of space for files and apps. So far, I’ve been using it for web browsing, online shopping, watching films and managing emails, all without any issues. The image quality is good, the large screen makes it ideal for watching movies. The built-in speakers are decent, providing clear sound for both movies and music. The battery life is decent too. Also it handles multitasking smoothly, switching between apps without lag or delays. It could be even better if the power cord was a bit longer.
Good Laptop pity about the installed software
Nice looking laptop arrived promptly as usual, started up straight away with out having to put it on charge. The advert states that the operating system is DOS it's NOT its a stitched up version of Windows 11 It will not recognise a USB memory stick nor a USB DVD drive, it will not boot from an external device at all. In fact it's completely useless, waste of money and time. I was perhaps a bit harsh in my initial review The laptop itself is good, nice keyboard feel and quick at installing software. Its a pity that the first impressions are completely spoilt by the installed MS software. Having removed this and installed a proper operating system the machine is transformed.

Video Editing
I bought this as I was looking for a budget friendly laptop for video editing. Having checked out the specs and reading reviews from other sites I thought, for the price, it was a no-brainer. So far, it has more than lived up to expectations, managing to handle everything I throw at it with ease. However, there was one glitch. I am driving two external monitors (so, three displays in total) and at one point the system started crashing when playing back the timeline and I would get an error message regarding a GPU timeout. It seems that others had had the same issue and it was down to the drivers. I was stumped as there didn't seem to be a resolution (rolling back the driver wasn't an option and the latest driver was installed). However, I solved the problem by simply turning off hardware acceleration in the video editing software. The laptop is now running as it did and I have seen little to no difference in performance. Very, very happy with this. Recommended. If you are looking to take up video editing and looking for a budget friendly laptop this is for you. (Incidentally, the GPU issue doesn't occur if only using the laptop screen).
