My review of the BSL01

I’ve never used a monitor arm before, but this one feels worth it. Assembly was quick and easy. The only problem came from me overthinking what a mic arm can handle and mounting my thousand dollar monitor on it, but it’s built like a tank and after using it have zero worries about the safety of my monitor, even when its fully extended. Speaking of being extended, it stays in place with no movement at all, which is pretty impressive. I haven’t needed to adjust the tension screw or window since my monitor held its position out of the box, though I can see how it could be useful for others. One last thing although I bought it for use at my desk, it’s long enough that I can position it at the front of the desk and in front of my case to view from bed which means i can use my computer from bed at night which is my favorite new capability that i wasn't planning for

Take the warning seriously on the mounting panel

There’s this little caution sticker on the mounting panel that shows a picture of a stick figure getting its skull crushed on the head due to the upward tension of the arm pushing upward. Take that seriously. It really does come at you like a wall if you are not careful.

Easy as can be

Bought this for a 32inch monitor and was expecting to have to mess with it just like every other arm. To my surprise I was able to get the monitor on here and it was perfect. Just easy assemble and play.

VESA Mount Tilt Not Working (Despite Even Removing Tension Screw Entirely), 2x Defective Products

Terrible product and support. The Vesa Mount (Step 4) does not tilt at all! I even took out the tension screw and it still doesn't move. I returned my first product since it was defective. The replacement product also had the same issue, the tilt just not move (unlike their YouTube video tutorial in which they "conveniently" turned off comments). I called BenQ support and they wanted me to send a video of the product not working. Why the heck should I have to do that, BenQ your customer base are typically geared towards IT/engineering professionals. I would completely avoid this junk product and BenQ products going forward, since their support obviously doesn't care about the customer experience.

Defective, DO NOT BUY

Don’t buy this. Came with a defective tilt mechanism. Would have broken my monitor if I wasn’t holding it with my other hand. Would give 0 stars if I could
