Highly recommend
I'm really happy with it, all scents are divine and the products are great quality as always from body shop. The packaging of products is small and great to pack while travelling. I'm taking one star away as the description on the web doesn't match exactly what's in the box. There's 24 products all together.
A Box Filled With Happiness!
What a great set! You can treat yourself with it or gift it. It's a good enough deal, that you can even open it & use it to stuff stockings or make more than one smaller gift baskets with these because many have matching or complementary components! If you like the really rich, moisturizer, the body butters and the hand balms are fantastic, you only need like a pea sized amount & really lasts, leaving your skin super soft. I love the variations of the fragrances, some are ones I haven't tried before & it gave me a chance to try it out. The Satsuma shower gel is sort of like a sweet grapefruit scent, while the grapefruit hand cream (a lighter lotion consistency, unlike the thicker balms) is more of a fresh grapefruit scent. The dewberry is sort of like a crisp, citrus berry scent. The British Rose is really unique, it has some botanical fragrance along with the rose, it's really like walking past a rose garden & taking in the leaves as well as the roses. The Camomile cleansing butter works great for stubborn mascara, while it does has a camomile scent, it is very faint, which is fine by me for anything used around my eyes I don't want heavily scented. The shower gels come in Almond Milk & Shea, they're super creamy & lather well & don't dry out my skin at all, I really like the way it rinses clean, but, my skin isn't screaming for moisture. A lot of these work really well together, the crisper fragranced products, like Mango, Satsuma and Grapefruit go really well with the Shea or Almond Milk scents, it sort of gives a fruit & cream vibe. The lips balms are really slippery & gives my lips a really nice satiny sheen. I was also really surprised they actually have a hint of flavor as well, so yummy! The body butters are a dream, has to be my favorite thing in the whole box, I mean, I suppose I sort of have lots of favorites lol, but, those body butters from The Body Shop are just SO good! A Must-Have for Advent Calendar Lovers and Body Shop Fans
Every year without fail, I tell myself I don't need another Advent calendar. And every year, I completely ignore myself. There is just something about the little doors, the adorable packaging, and getting to discover a new product every day that I absolutely love. I've purchased The Body Shop's Advent calendars for many years now, so I was really excited to see what was included this time around. One of the things I appreciate most about their calendars is that the products aren't just tiny samples that leave you wondering what you were supposed to do with them. A lot of the items are genuinely useful sizes, which makes it easy to actually try them long enough to decide whether I want the full-size version. There are quite a few returning favorites this year, including Mango, Strawberry, Shea, British Rose, and Almond Milk, which made me very happy. I already know and enjoy several of these ranges, so seeing familiar favorites mixed in with things I haven't tried made the calendar feel like a combination of old favorites and new discoveries. I was especially excited to see Dewberry included this year. It's a line I've really enjoyed, and I love having several products from it to try. There are also a couple of products that are completely new to me, including the Ginseng & Rice Facial Mask and Camomile Cleansing Butter, so I'm looking forward to giving those a proper try. This is also the first year I've noticed sheet masks included in the calendar, with Aloe, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C options. And then there's the packaging, which is honestly half the fun. The Body Shop always does such a beautiful job with these calendars, and I love the way this one opens. The top flips up so you can clearly see all 24 days, making it easy to find whichever door you're looking for. It feels much more special than simply opening a box of products. Quality items from a beauty advent calendar
Pros: I was so excited to receive this Body Shop advent calendar. Our local Body Shop closed down, so I have been ordering their products online, but it can be hard to track down some of the more cult favorite items, which made this set even more fun to open. I love advent calendars in general and actually picked up a couple other beauty advent calendars this year too, including one from Nooni and one from Origins, because I love getting little surprises every day, and they are perfect for travel since I do not have to bring a full size bottle or squeeze products into travel containers that are a pain to clean and always seem to waste product. This calendar has 25 doors packed with shower gels, shampoos, sheet masks, balms, butters, and body scrubs, and there is a nice mix of both fruity and rich, nourishing scents. My favorite is the satsuma scent because I love that citrus backing, and I also really enjoyed the pink grapefruit and the dewberry. I got to try a few things I had never tried before since it had been a while since our store closed, including their shampoo and a sheet mask, which was a fun surprise. Most of the scents lean fruity or citrusy with a few floral options mixed in, and none of them felt overly musky or heavy, which makes this a good pick as a gift since you do not always know someone's scent preference. It is tough to shop for someone when you do not know if they lean foodie, fruity, musky, or floral, but this set feels neutral enough that most people would find something they like unless they really dislike fruity or floral scents in general. Cons: When I first opened the calendar, I noticed that more than half of the numbers on the doors were upside down or turned around, and a few doors did not seem to have a visible number at all, so I had to flip the calendar or look closely to figure out which day I was actually on.
