Incredible typing experience
This is an incredible typing experience. Pleasant light clack sound, very quiet, beautiful to touch. Easy to switch between several computers. Glad I got the Brown tactile switches, very slight extra force at the top of the keypress very satisfying. Feels good man.

Not what I expect from a "premium' board
UPDATE: So Keychron finally got back with me with more details on what needed to be done. They also offered to ship me out some spare switches and also the lube that they were recommending to apply. I spoke with them a little more about it, and it was decided to just return the board to make things easier. I ended up picking up the Q5 HE which has been an amazing board... Giving the product 5 stars given Keychron's support and their offer to provided the supplies to lube the stabilizer. The Q1 Max really is a great board, crushes my old K4 v3 board, but this Q5 HE board is on a total different level; defiantly worth the few extra bucks. Coworker, who I might add is a keyboard nerd, tried my Q5 HE and bought the K4 HE Special Edition the following day! ================================================= Not 100% sure how to review this purchase... I bought a Keychron K4 keyboard back in 2022, been a great board, solid build, excellent right out of the box. I was doing a full PC rebuild so I decided to upgrade my keyboard while I was at it. I purchased the Q1 Max, Keychron's "premium" board, as I really enjoyed their product. Within 10 minutes of using it I noticed the left shift key making a "poppy" sound vs the "thud" sound of all the other keys. I type a lot for work, so this is something that is very noticeable to me. I reached out to support to see if they had any suggestions. I explained the issue, they asked for a video, I sent them the video and they replied back with "Please kindly try to lube it. It should be helpful." That is it, no instructions, no guidance, it was just that sentence and then a generic "we are here to help" signature. Now maybe I'm being unreasonable, but if I pay north of $240 for a board I have the expectation that its going to be 100% out the box. I should not have to buy "lube" and do maintenance on a board I just purchased. I've never had to lube my K4 keyboard, also with brown switches, since I've owned it, so why am I forced to do thi

Top notch board, hillbilly approved
I'll say right out the gate — I'm not a keyboard snob, just a hillbilly with a high-end rig, that's it. But I really like this board, it's awesome. Well made, high quality, just works. Worried I might run into issues running it on Linux, but not really — a handful of workarounds and I wasn't limited at all. I did end up swapping to blue switches after the fact, but that's personal preference more than anything. This thing's top notch — liking it enough that I'm getting a second one. Heads up for anyone who skips the specs: it's heavy, about 2ish pounds.

Solid construction, near perfect.
Feels premium, solid construction and there is not much negative to say. Out of the box it's ready to go but also leaves room for making it better for your personal needs. All metal, zero flex and built to last. I will swap the switches and keys, it will be near prefect for my needs. Good: - Made of metal, knob is metal. - Heavy, on a desk it's prefect, won't move around. - 2.4g wireless is good, the dongle can be quite far away with no issues. - Typing sound is good. - Software is online but it's good, full of features and settings. - Firmware update is easy to do, almost fool proof. - Switches have a nice feel. - Battery life is decent considering it's a backlit RGB keyboard. Negatives: - No shine through keys for a RGB backlit keyboard seems odd. - The keycaps are tall, this causes wobbly keys. - Can't adjust the height or angle.
