Very NIce MINGVEN Filter Kit for a DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro Only
I must say to start with I ordered two 4 piece filter kits from MINGVEN. These kits make my filter assortment complete, at least for now. There is only one filter that is duplicated on these two kits and that is the CPL filter. What specifically attracted me to these filters is the metal frame. I come from the full frame camera arena and I have never ordered any filter with plastic frames. Nothing against plastic frames for this type of camera. So this assortment of filters in this kit includes the 1. .75 wide angle for increasing your field of view to about a 15mm equivalent on the 20 mm camera. 2. Black Diffusion 1/4 I will be using for softening of the image. For me Head Shots in the Still Camera mode. 3. The Circular Polarizer for helping to rid or reduce the shots of reflective surfaces. 4. The Neutral Density 2-32 for reducing bright lighting particularly, for me, outdoor scenes. I did look at the coatings with a 10x loop and I did not see any bubbles or imperfections in the coating. I did find it particularly difficult to put the filters on the gimbal head. I do not know if it is an issue with the filters or just me learning how to apply them effectively. With my current dexterity in putting them on I would miss a lot of good moving shots. I think, outdoors, I will rely more on the 2-32 ND (1-5 stops) than usual just to make sure that the taking off an on of the filters do not cause any issues for me. Great filters, smart travel case, and a real difference in my footage
I bought this MINGVEN filter kit for my DJI Osmo Pocket, and I’m very happy with it. The filters are well made: aluminum frames with knurled edges, clean glass, and they snap onto the camera head securely without blocking the gimbal. What’s in the kit and what each piece does: ND2–32 Variable ND: Cuts the amount of light coming into the lens, adjustable from 1 to 5 stops. On bright days it prevents overexposure and lets you keep a slower shutter speed for smooth, natural motion blur. CPL (Circular Polarizer): Reduces glare and reflections, deepens blue skies, and makes colors look richer. Rotate the ring to dial in the effect. Black Diffusion 1/4: Softens highlights and adds a glow for a dreamy, cinematic look. 0.75x Wide-Angle Lens: Widens the field of view so you can fit more into the frame. The case is another highlight. It’s slim, hard-shell, and has a foam insert with a fitted slot for each filter. It easily fits in a pocket or camera bag, so I can take the whole kit with me everywhere. To see the real difference, I filmed the same pond scene with each filter on a sunny afternoon and put the clips together in a 4-way split-screen video (attached): Top left, 0.75x wide-angle: The view is noticeably wider and captures much more of the scene. There is some barrel distortion toward the edges, which is normal for a wide-angle add-on. Top right, CPL: The biggest “wow” of the four. The grass is greener, the sky is a deeper blue, and the ducks’ feathers look more vivid. Bottom left, ND (set to 3): The light was harsh and the bare footage was overexposed. With the ND, the grass color came back and the white clouds kept their detail instead of blowing out. The trade-off is that the ducks in the shade got darker, so pick the strength to match your scene. Bottom right, Black Diffusion 1/4: Everything gets a soft glow, almost like a light mist over the scene. It’s a strong creative look, great for dreamy or cinematic shots, but not something I’d use for sharp everyday foota
Vielseitiges Filterset für kreative Aufnahmen mit kleinen Einschränkungen
Schon bei der ersten Aufnahme am sonnigen See hat sich der praktische Nutzen des Sets gezeigt: Mit dem variablen ND-Filter konnte ich die Belichtung deutlich besser kontrollieren und eine ruhigere Bewegungsunschärfe erzielen. Das Set besteht aus einem 112°-Weitwinkelobjektiv, einem CPL-Filter, einem Black-Diffusion-1/4-Filter und dem variablen ND2-32-Filter. Dadurch lassen sich Landschaften, Gruppenaufnahmen und verschiedene Außenmotive flexibel umsetzen, ohne mehrere einzelne Zubehörteile zusammensuchen zu müssen. Die Filter werden per Snap-Fit direkt am Objektiv befestigt, was unterwegs angenehm schnell funktioniert ⚡. Positiv ist außerdem, dass die Kamera dafür nicht auseinandergenommen werden muss und der Filter montiert bleiben kann, wenn das Gerät in die originale Schutzhülle gelegt wird. Die Verarbeitung macht insgesamt einen soliden Eindruck. Das verwendete optische AGC-Glas wirkt sauber und bietet eine hohe Lichtdurchlässigkeit, wobei mir bei meinen Aufnahmen keine auffälligen Farbstiche aufgefallen sind. Der CPL-Filter reduziert Reflexionen auf Wasser und Glas sichtbar und verstärkt bei Außenaufnahmen zugleich die Farbsättigung, während der Black-Diffusion-Filter Hauttöne etwas weicher erscheinen lässt und helle Lichtquellen angenehm aufblühen. Das Weitwinkelobjektiv erweitert den Bildwinkel auf 112°, bringt allerdings an den Rändern eine leichte Verzerrung mit sich, die bei geraden Linien deutlich sichtbar werden kann. Für kreative Perspektiven ist das interessant, für exakt gerade Architekturaufnahmen eher weniger 🛠. Ein Reinigungstuch liegt ebenfalls bei, was bei Staub und Fingerabdrücken praktisch ist. Über mehrere Tage habe ich die Filter bei Spaziergängen, Innenaufnahmen und kurzen Reisevideos verwendet. Der variable ND-Filter deckt ungefähr ein bis fünf Blendenstufen ab und lässt sich über den drehbaren Ring an die jeweilige Helligkeit anpassen. Bei sehr hellem Tageslicht konnte ich dadurch mit offenerer Blende beziehungsweise längerer Belichtungsz
Fits well
This filter set has become part of my regular kit since picking up the Osmo Pocket 4P, and the snap-fit design is honestly the best part. It attaches securely to the camera without wobbling once it's on, and I've reached for the ND filter more than any of the others in this set. Adjusting visual stops with the ND filter has let me get much better daylight shots outdoors, cutting down on that blown-out, overexposed look you get shooting in bright sun without one. The wide-angle option is nice to have on hand too when I want a slightly different composition without switching gear entirely. My one real complaint is with how it interacts with the gimbal itself. Closing the Pocket 4P with the filter attached sometimes catches on the gimbal mechanism, which makes me nervous every time I fold it away, like I might damage something if I'm not careful. Getting the filter to snap back off can also be a little more difficult than I'd like, occasionally requiring a firmer tug than feels ideal for something clipped onto delicate camera hardware. Despite that, the actual filtering quality has been solid, and I haven't noticed any color cast or softness issues in my footage. For anyone doing outdoor vlogging or photography with the Pocket 4P who wants more control over exposure without carrying a full filter kit, this is a worthwhile addition, just handle the gimbal closure with a little extra care.
