My laptop was being powered by an older TB3 cable via an eGPU, but the port on my laptop is USB4 and I wasn't getting nearly the full speed I should be. So I got this cable, and the speed went up almost 50% (as reported by HWinfo). Great! But immediately my laptop started crashing overnight, every single night, and occasionally during the day as well when it was idle for 5+ hours (I work from home so typically using it most of the day). After 5 days of this, I swapped back to my old cable, thinking the new one may be the issue, and sure enough it's been 72 hours without a single crash.UPDATE: But then my computer crashed with the old cable shortly after my review above, so I tried the new one again, and first attempt it went 7 days without a crash. So I guess there's just something a little messed up with my laptop, it's probably related to the eGPU, but who knows. I'm trying some other things to figure it all out, meantime I am keeping this cable as its speed is much better than my old one.
